Christopher McDonough - Il Mulino New York Trattoria Chef
Chef Christopher McDonough was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He then moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he spent his childhood. He started his passion for the culinary arts while living in Brazil. Since 2002, Chef Chris has worked in numerous kitchens. In 2007, he became a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Orlando, Florida. In 2008, Chef Chris began his career at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin enrolled in an externship at the resorts’ Garden Grove restaurant. Soon after attaining the status of Cook 1, Chris was promoted to Advanced Cook at Shula’s Steak House. Chef Chris has held other positions at the resort that include Jr. Sous Chef, Sous Chef as well as the Chef for Garden Grove. In 2014, he continued mastering his culinary portfolio by doing a “stage” in the 2-Michelin Star D.O.M restaurant in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is ranked among the top 10 restaurants in the world. He hopes to have additional opportunities such as this in order to hone his culinary skills. When Chef Chris is not working, he enjoys reading books and spending time with his family.
